Our Mission:

Our mission is to provide teachers with engaging and practical pedagogical development workshops, and ready-to-use LESs, that inspire creativity, enhance motivation, and equip teachers with immediately applicable, turn-key resources. We aim to build a supportive community that values continuous learning and promotes teaching purposeful content while saving time on preparation and putting it towards doing what we love - teaching.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS:

Nairy and Sophie's work has been recognized through several awards in education and pedagogical innovation.

In 2023, they received the Québec Ministry of Education's Reading Recognition Award for Write Your Own Graphic Novel, a Learning and Evaluation Situation designed to engage students through creative literacy.

In 2025, their project Escaping the Classroom × AI Generation was awarded the AQUOPS Étoile Grand Prize in Educational Technology, which honours meaningful collaborations between teachers and EdTech partners working to make learning more interactive and accessible.

That same year, they were nominated for Concordia University's Pedagogical Innovation Award, which recognizes teachers for innovative classroom practices.

Nairy Kazandjian is an ESL special education teacher and content creator.

Due to her love for English language arts, she completed her first undergraduate degree in English Literature. She later decided to pursue a second bachelor's in Education to enable her to share her passion. As an ESL teacher, she has found that the best way to reach her students is to use relatable and authentic material. Nairy has a Master's in Education from McGill University in Educational and Counseling Psychology, through her education she has expanded her knowledge of effective classroom instruction and inclusive practices. However, her love for learning doesn’t stop there, she is currently a PhD student at Université de Montreal, researching childhood factors that influence academic engagement and achievement.

Along with Sophie Giroux, Nairy won the ministry pedagogical award "prix étincelle: reconnaissance en lecture" in 2023. She is also the author of her children's book "Not Like Mine" which is written with ESL students in mind and illustrated by her sister, Zari Kazandjian.

Finally, all of this comes together in the educational content that she creates and shares with you.

Sophie Giroux is an ESL teacher at the secondary level. She started off her career as a Special Education Technician and enjoyed helping students with their English homework when they got kicked out of class. She then decided that she wanted to teach ESL and got her B.Ed at Concordia University. She has been a High school ESL teacher for over 10 years. She is also a former ESL pedagogical consultant. In addition, she is an ESL author and ESL content reviewer. Sophie has a passion for creating motivating ESL material, for education and teaching. She also loves to share ESL material.
